Beth Witten, MSW, ACSW, LSCSW, is a Resource and Policy Associate for Medical Education Institute. In addition Beth is employed by the National Kidney Foundation as its Medicare Modernization Program Manager. In 2006, as an NKF employee Beth was appointed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to a 7-member ESRD Support Team to help train ESRD surveyors and answer questions from surveyors and the renal community on new dialysis regulations that took effect in October 2008. Beth is an experienced nephrology social worker with decades of experience advising patients and professionals, and will answer questions about reimbursement for dialysis, Medicare policy, employment, living with dialysis, and patient rights and responsibilities.
