One for the techs (or I think mechanics may be the US term).
I’ve previously been advised to leave the RO running and on its rinse/clean cycles, when away, however this uses stack loads of water which runs up a bill. (easily 45 litres when the RO goes through a cycle when I’m not on the machine)
Is there a safe way to ‘rinse/rest/drain’ the RO and machine and leave it till I come back and then put it through a thorough disinfect on my return from holidays.
The RO is an Aqua Uno H, machine a Fresenius 5008s, and also a water softener.
We harvested some of the reject water in the recent heatwave for use in the garden so I know how much is wasted each time…
