My husband is on the cycler and his blood readings have not been very good the last few weeks. The renal staff want him to go on HD - he doesn’t want to. He is prepared to do a daily manual exchange during the day as well as the APD. The renal nurse tells him he will have to go on HD when he has no kidney function at all (he still has 4 or 5 % kidney function). Is anyone on APD with no kidney function? He also goes empty during the day at present - Do many people go empty?
Would be glad to hear from other renal patients.
