The article is called Cannulation Camp:Basic Needle Cannulation Training for Dialysis Staff. It is from a 1995 issue of Dialysis & Transplantation, Vol. 24, No. 11. It looked to be very thourough. It’d be great to have it reprinted on the Home Dialysis Central site along with info on the buttonhole. After all first you have to learn to stick with sharp needles before you go to the buttonhole.
There are so many benifits that come from self cannulation. It is something every hemo patient should give serious thought.
