Thanks for sharing the information about the impact of your going up the chain of command to get what you want. It appears that one thing we need to do is make other patients aware that success can be realized if you make a request for home dialysis and say you’re willing to go elsewhere to get it if necessary. You must share this information with the appropriate person. Sometimes doctors are all in favor of home dialysis, but are stymied by others in the clinic or corporation. Sometimes the clinic manager would like to offer home dialysis, but is being stymied by the doctor or people higher in the corporation. The key is finding out who is in a position of authority to make it happen and getting to that person. I’m so glad that you did the leg work to find out who to contact.
