In between recording tx info and cannulating is it necessary to use hand sanitizer. Anotherwards one washes hands before preparing for cannulation, but one must document inbetween. So, is it important to use hand sanitizer everytime you touch something? Because one also must touch the blood pressure device and the thermometer and other items and these are not clean.
Washing hands and Sanitizer always before cannulating, after that its not necessary…reporting takes place during middle of treatments and at the end…however, once after treatment is about over you prepare again with Sanitizer and gloves…if there’s a care-taker then they’d wash their hands, use sanitizer and put gloves on…while using gloves and touch different things you can use sanitizer over gloves.
