Have any PD patients traveled internationally? If so, how did you get your supplies and did you have to pay extra for dialysis or for shipping?
I would check with your PD nurse to make sure the supplier they use can get the solution to the location. I know one PD supplier can do this given a numbers of days lead time to make arrangements for delivery. Most countries do a higher percentage of PD than in the states.The traveler should be able to get it most anywhere in the world. Again, check with your nurse to make the arrangements. Happy travels.
I have been on both systems and find the Baxter machine to be much easier to travel. You can put in a case and go. The Fresinius machine you have to break down and set up when you travel.
