LeeAnn Smith, MPH, RD, is a registered dietitian with DaVita Inc. In addition, she has a private practice where she provides nutrition counseling and consulting services to individuals, families, and businesses. Her areas of expertise include kidney disease, diabetes, and weight management. She received her Bachelor’s in Dietetics from James Madison University and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
LeeAnn has written and contributed to various publications including Today’s Dietitian, the Renal Nutrition Forum, and the Journal of Renal Nutrition. She is an analyst for the American Dietetic Association’s Evidence Analysis Library, a synthesis of the best, most-relevant nutritional research. LeeAnn is an experienced renal dietitian and received a Distinguished Dietitian Teammate Award for her work. She has a proven ability to translate the science of nutrition and assist patients to successfully achieve their nutrition and health goals.
