Hubby does not pass urine anymore but every now and than he will pass some red “stuff” Sometimes it is like blood and other times thick. Some nurses and docs have said it is from a dry bladder. Had it even when he was on PD- started 9 years ago. Only happens sometimes. No pain or other symptoms.

It might be worthwhile to encourage your husband to ask about tests to rule out bladder, prostate, or other urinary tract problems. If this has been going on for 9 years, I can only imagine how annoying this must be even if it isn’t painful.
I agree with you on that. I did get further consultation and was sent to a urologist for further tests so I highly recommend to see a specialist on that. You’ll never know what it could be. If left alone it can progress into cancer…
