APD drain volume reduced

I am undergoing APD from last 6years
For one cycle the output comes 250ml now it suddenly reduced to 150ml
Why like this
Please suggest me

I’d suggest you report this to your doctor and/or nurse. Some common reasons for lower outflow include

  • constipation

  • fibrin inside the catheter or tissue wrapped around the outside of the catheter either of which can limit outflow

  • your catheter could have flipped out of place so it’s not where it needs to be to remove the most fluid

Have you tried having a bowel movement or changing position (rolling over, sitting up or standing) to see if that gets the fluid moving? Medication can dissolve fibrin. Procedures can be done to reposition a catheter and/or remove tissue that is blocking outflow.

I believe that Valasai who posted was referring to drain volume when output was mentioned. I
believe this because the title of the post referred to drain volume. Do you have other suggestions for Valasai?
