What do you think is the best approach to use to convince doctors and nurses to consider and refer patients for home hemodialysis?
Beth, In our area it isn’t a problem with the drs. recommending home dialysis or the nurses. The problem is they don’t have the programs in place to refer them too.
I think educating the patient is the most effective way. Patients will advocate for themselves. Generally, I think think, these patients tend to be the highest functioning and most able to advocate for themselves
