I am told that the center I currently work in only begins billing for pd training the day the catheter goes in. Even if a home visit happens before this , or some training occurs before their surgery, they don’t bill for it. I believe that they could bill for it. Can anyone enlighten me?
I would check with CMS/Medicare to see what the rules are on this subject. Where I’m located the understanding is you can bill after your first flush of the catheter.
