Burning sensation

Has anyone had a burning sensation while dialysing?
Ralph sometimes says that the venus site has a burning. It is not all the time.
Any thoughts?
No body can figure out why.

Yes, sometimes…quite rare. This is something that also experienced in-center…it can also be felt in the face, head, ears…it can be phosphorous elevating, can also be dehydration…at the moment have not gotten definite answer but really could be a combination of things…even an allergy to something, perhaps heparin…

Hi Pat

Is this at the start or during the tx?

I have it at the start, not every time, but it is a pain. And no one has any answer for me at my center. I’ve started taken a pain pill before I go on to take the edge off .I still get from time to time ,but the pill help with discomfort.

Ralph has had the burning both at the beggining and during treatment.
We have been getting venous alarms and went to day to have a fistulagram. The arterial was closed again.
So they ballooned it with a larger balloon.
We have to be off tonight but tommorow night will tell if the burning goes away.
Pat.

Jim, my husband, has had the burning sensation on occasion. Hasn’t had it for some time now.
