The article “The Art of Teaching Buttonhole Self cannulation” is an excellent article. however reference is made on page 319 to Buttonhole options in Europe. This plastic peg for creating buttonholes has been available in Canada for over two years because I have been using it with success. It is called the Biohole device and is available through cardiomed. it works extremely well especially in areas where there is no ability to have the same person create the buttonhole.
