Hello everyone!
I am new to the group. I’m a dialysis nurse and I foster adults in my home with ESRD where I provide home dialysis. I’m looking for a nephrologist with a Michigan license interested in helping me make a difference!
Thanks,
Keisha

Patients on home dialysis must be admitted by the dialysis clinic’s medical director. The dialysis clinic must be certified by CMS to train patients and/or their care partners for home dialysis and assure that the person doing the dialysis is following the dialysis clinic’s policies and procedures. Medicare only pays for dialysis equipment, supplies, and staff time to provide oversight for the person’s care through a dialysis clinic. Medicare pays a nephrologist separately and the nephrologist writes the patient’s prescription for home dialysis, meds, labs, etc. Medicare does not pay anything the person who helps with dialysis.
