Health, Happiness & Hope

2nd Annual Renal Support Network National Patient Meeting

Please join us!

September 29 - October 1, 2005.
“Health, Happiness & Hope.” Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Chicago, IL.

Held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the National Renal Administrators Association (NRAA), making it the only concurrent national gathering of kidney patients and professionals in the United States. The meeting features presentations by patients who have chosen to view chronic kidney disease as an obstacle rather than a deterrent. In these “patients helping patients” sessions, tips will be provided on, among other topics, returning to school or work, relationships, travel, exercise, and being a full-time parent while on dialysis. An impressive array of healthcare professionals also will be speaking on the latest medical advances designed to improve the lives of people on dialysis or with kidney transplants.

Hi y’all,

I’m going to be emcee’ing (is that a word?) a panel of home dialysis patients at this meeting on Saturday morning (10/1). We’ll have 5 or 6 patients from various types of home treatment (daily, nocturnal, PD) to tell their stories and answer patient questions, and two nephrologists on hand as well. If you’re in the Chicago area or willing to travel, this is a great meeting. I went to the inaugural one last year in Denver, too.
