That sounds terribly distressing! I can imagine why your parents are upset. You may get a response here, but without more detail about exactly what is happening (such as which alarm is it?) I’m not so sure. If you don’t, you may also want to post to Judith Nardini, our PD Nurse who answers questions in our Expert Boards: http://forums.homedialysis.org/forumdisplay.php/18-Judith-Bernardini-PD-Nurse.

I wish I could help you, but, I am on NxStage.

Oops! Thanks, NDXUFan12. This was in the wrong Board. I moved it.

My experience (Baxter cycler) is there are 2 kinds of beeps: 1) directions/information (1 beep), and 3) alarm (3 beeps).

The first kind merely tell you what to do in the sequence you’re in, or verify you pushed a control.

The second kind tell you there is something wrong.

I have an operating manual from Baxter that lists all the error messages and corrective action. Without knowing what your error message is, it’s impossible to provide advice.
