I’ve been successfully self cannulation for about three months.
Two well developed buttonholes have lately developed a
new challenge; when sticking smooth advance into the vein,
good early flash then loosing flash on advance. Cannot
pull with 3ml syringe.
Withdrawingre-positioning then advancing cannot seem to get around
lost of flash consistently. Like I’m sliding the needle into a
pocket inside the vein but withdrawing then repositioning up
down laterial medial frequently fails.
Good bruie, do not hear whistle with stethoscope. Palpitating does not
reveal hard spots. Slight swelling above button hole passage.
When stuck pressures at 450 are <190 arterial, <220 venus
