Microsoft to corner the health info market?

Today Microsoft announce the entrance of a new website, HealthVault, where one can store their most private medical records to share with others of their choice. It looks like they have a few corporation and associations already on board. The site even includes device drivers for a few medical deviced like BP Monitors and glocosemeters so the data can be automatically uploaded to the online databases. What they are trying to do is compensate for the majority of doctors and hospitals who are not computerized. In my case that’s not necessary unless I travel, and the last time I did I put all of my medical information on a flash drive and carried it around with me in case of an emergency.

Ineed, very interesting! I wonder whether Nxstage can make good use of it…hehehe
