Most Sterile Room To Start PD

Which room in a home is the safest for connecting the PD catheter? Obviously MRSA is the probable overwhelmingly greatest threat. Most bathrooms are tile covered, smaller than other rooms, and cleaned frequently. Is this the safest option or is another place in the house safer?

That’s a great question, Dick, and as far as I can see, there hasn’t been ANY research done to see which room might, in general, be safer. Since the bathroom has a sink to wash your hands, and lots of hard surfaces that are easy to clean, most people use that, wear a mask, and shut off any air flow into the room during exchanges (heat ducts and such). I suppose that if your bedroom happened to have a sink in it, and you could close off the ducts, that would work as well.
