Are there any motel chains (or equivalent) that rent units on a short-time basis just for the purpose of doing exchanges?
I’m not aware of any such motel chains, however, you could call the corporate office of a large chain and ask. Talk with your home training nurse about how you can safely do PD on your trip. He/she may not like this idea, but I’ve known patients who did a CAPD exchange in a clean restroom or in their car with some pre-planning, including assuring no air movement (window, heater, air conditioner), wearing a mask, and washing hands or using alcohol-based hand gel.
Yes i know someone who does manual exhanges in his car whenever he goes on camping. He said he just turn off the fan when connecting and disconnecting, which will only take a few seconds.
