PHD, Diabetics, Backflushes

I’m on an insulin pump. I basal 1.0 units during dialysis and have turned the backflushes down to 100ml every 30 minutes.
After reading what NEPHNurse had to say about the middle and large molecules being better Hemofiltered through the backflush process, I’m rethinking this. I mainly wanted to keep the dialysate glucose solution down to keep my BS under control. But after 25 years on dialysis, the larger molecules esp. the one that affects carpal tunnel are obviously not as well dialyzed as the other smaller toxins.
So if anyone is working with this situation, let me know what you’re doing and how well it’s working.
Thanks,
Guillaume
