Dear Madam/Sir,
My cousin’s daughter (Ms. Zainab Sabah Al-Amin) has a regular Dialysis treatment at one of Baghdad Hospitals in Iraq for over a year as prescribed to her by the local doctors. Zainab visiting the hospital 3 times a week, each visit takes 3 hours for the Dialysis only.
Zainab is not satisfied of this treatment and asked me (since I live in Manchester/UK) to search for a Dialysis unit to be used at her house in Baghdad.
I am considering to purchase one unit and send it to Zainab.
Please let me know if it is possible buying Dialysis home unit from you, assist & provide all the ancillary products for the treatment and kindly advise any other guided comments.
Best wishes,
Hussam Al-Amin
Hi there, is she on hemodialysis or PD?
I do hemodialysis on my wife and use the NxStage system. It performs well.
Thank you Mr Palmer for your kind comments.
I forwarded your comments to Zainab in Baghdad & as soon as I receive her reply, I wi respond to you.
May I wish your wife a quick recovery & we are praying for her to get better.
Best wishes my friend,
Hussam
There are some machines for sale second hand online, for between 500 to 2000 USD, on websites such as https://bimedis.com/search/search-items/dialysis-machine-portable-hemodialysis-machine
(including 450USD for the Nxstage) but you would still have to pay for shipping, get a technician/mechanic, to install it, and pay for the supplies that need to be used each session.
Most people on dialysis spend 3 or 4 hours, in the UK and America and all countries 3 times a week on heamo dialysis.
Best wishes to Zainab and yourself.
J
Thanks J,
We are greatful & much appreciated.
The details you sent are of great use & I forwarded your comments to Zainab.
Best wishes & wishing you & your family the best of health.
Best wishes, Hussam
Good luck to her, if only I could do something to help now.
I found this company in Iraq that sells hemodialysis equipment. I bet they sell equipment to use in dialysis clinics. It would be important ask dialysis clinics in her area if they train people to do home hemodialysis or have trained staff who go to patients homes to perform the patient’s dialysis. Anyone who does hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis at home needs to be trained to do the multiple tasks associated with home dialysis, troubleshoot problems, and prepare for emergencies or have a helper who has been trained to do these things who will come to their home to perform their dialysis.
Dear Beth,
Thank you so much for the recommendation, much appreciated.
I will forward your comments to my relative in Iraq and she will hopefully contact Elite International Medical & Lab Equipment
Best wishes,
Hussam
