Return of the Webinars!

Arghh!! I’ve been on the road almost constantly this month, and finally found time last night to post a message about our next FREE webinar on Thursday, April 23 at:
2:00 pm US Pacific
3:00 pm US Mountain
4:00 pm US Central
5:00 pm US Eastern
2:30 am (Friday) Hyderabad, India
8:00 am (Friday) Geelong, Australia

Unfortunately, the server went down and lost the whole thing! :frowning: So, here I am again.

Wow!! I’ve had a chance to review Stuart Mott’s slides. Stuart is a nurse who is passionate about Cushion Cannulation and Touch Cannulation, both techniques that can help make it easier to do a good job putting in dialysis needles. (Touch Cannulation is used for the Buttonhole technique). His slides are fantastic, and I can tell this is going to be another terrific, informative session. You’ll learn tons! And fortunately, we still have seats left. Interested? Sign up today by filling out the registration form at this link: http://www.instantpresenter.com/PIID=E950DE8787

Bill P. in his blog (http://www.billpeckham.com/ handily found this link to an article about Touch Cannulation that you might want to read before the session: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0ICF/is_1_35/ai_n24925902/.

Oh, yes, we have webinar door prizes, too! These are all from companies that have listings in our Helpful Products Catalog

Hope to see y’all there!

I tried this method going by the instructions I read in an online post. It did not work for me, so I will certainly attend the webinar to see if I was missing something in my technique. By any chance, will the replay of Prof. Agar’s last webinar be available anytime soon?

Hi Jane,

I knew I was forgetting something–that was in the post that the server ate. We’ve been having some technical issues with the recording. They keep sending us either the wrong file, or a corrupted one that we can’t unzip. So, we’re still working on getting that recording. We’ll be doing future recordings ourselves, which should make them a lot more timely.

That was excellent! Can’t wait to be able to download it so I can show my dialysis center! I mean just because I have a transplant doesn’t mean I no longer look out for the people I got to know in my unit.

Thanks so much!

Hi Angie,

It’s terrific that you stay involved, and I’m so glad you enjoyed the session. I reviewed the recording, and it looks great! It worked! Our IT guy is on vacation, so we can’t get it uploaded until he gets back, but we WILL get it uploaded so folks who weren’t able to be there can see it.

Hi Dori
I was away but according to some other keen Aussies that wanted to catch it, the Webinar was on an hour earlier than the time advertised for us down under so they missed it. We can’t wait to see the recording.
Cheers
Mel

I’m just glad it got recorded with the presenter present. There was a little drama before as Dori and I were waiting for Stuart Mott to appear. He was trying to log in and kept on getting a message that he already was. It turned out he gave his login info to his wife who wanted to watch. We needed to get her off so he could get in. Whew!

The webinar was exceptional and should have been attended by many more. There is so much for dialyzors to learn which would help them live better. I know there’s a tendency by many to say they don’t live to dialyze but dialyze to live. As far as I concerned, one has to remain involved in their treatment. That doesn’t just mean doing the treatments, going into clinic and asking questions. It means staying on top of one’s disease and be constantly learning about it so you can do the best you can.

There have been many who have lived with the creed of dialyzing to live who were doing SDD. But then they started nocturnal and realized there was even a better treatment. They somehow learned about living better. There are other topic areas which should be learned as well. Our hope is the webinar series will bring that education directly to the dialyzor. Please don’t give up this great opportunity to learn from some of the best experts. They’re willingly donating valuable tome tp patients; the lease we can do is rciprocate by learning from them. They’re not doing it for themselves-- theyr’e doing it for us.

Please let me know when it is uploaded as I have not seen a link to it to download yet and it is already the 2nd week of May.

Dori, Rich
Is there any way we can get hold of the recordings of thesessions that have been presented by John earlier as well as the more recent sessions by others.
Cheers
Mel

Past Webinars are posted on the main page: http://www.homedialysis.org/

That is where I get the past recordings anyway.

Thanks Angie!
