UFR calculator f/u question

If I am to enter my pre dialysis weight into the calculator and I am 6kg over as opposed to 2kg will being more fluid overloaded allow for a more aggressive UFR?

If you truly are 6 kg over your target weight (and your doctor or home dialysis nurse can probably help you determine that), it’s best to remove no more than 10 ml of fluid per kg of body weight per hour to avoid stunning your vital organs (heart, brain, kidneys, etc.). So, it would be best to do a longer dialysis treatment and/or to take off this amount of fluid over two or more treatments. Here are some articles from the full Home Dialysis Central site that may help explain this.

If you’re having difficulty limiting your fluid intake, your dietitian may have some tips to help you do that. Here are some tips from a dialysis patient.
