UK Patients NKF Webinar 30th September

I’ve just booked.
NKF Webinar: Increasing Home Dialysis in the Context of COVID-19
Wednesday 30th September
5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The National Kidney Federation (NKF) would like you to join a free Zoom webinar, discussing the national Manifesto on Home Dialysis.
The Manifesto was first published in 2013 and we would like you to be part of the first official review.
We are particularly interested to see if hospitals can increase the number of home dialysis patients, as well as seeing if any progress has been made into the care of people on home dialysis and any effects COVID-19 has had on patients.
Joining us on the webinar will be Dr Graham Lipkin, President of the Renal Association, who will share the national findings on home dialysis from the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) report and highlighting the impact of COVID-19 on dialysis patients.
Dr Nitin Kolhe from the Royal Derby Hospital and Dr Sandip Mitra from Manchester Royal Infirmary will share details of their home dialysis services. Jyoti Jadav and John Roberts will share their experiences as patients while Brian Child and Christine Price will share their experiences as carers.
Following the review a report will be published and made available to all. The report will include our findings, and will have recommendations on how we can raise the levels of home dialysis.
Chairing the webinar will be Kirit Modi, NKF President.
You can download the programme here.
We look forward to seeing you.

This sounds like an interesting webinar. If you’re on the Home Dialysis Central Facebook group, please post it there and let people know it’s for those in the UK who are interested in home dialysis.

Yup its done.
Should be an interesting event

I found the 90 minute recording of the National Kidney Federation webinar and wanted to share it.

It was informative. And both the NKF and Kidney Care UK continue to produce webinars (as do a few other US orgs as well.
