I’m afraid that these are costs that you assume when you do home dialysis. Depending on how far away you are from the in-center clinic, you may save enough in gasoline (or other transportation) from not having to go back and forth three times per week to make up the difference. You might also try checking with your utility companies to see if they have any sort of a discount for medical usage. It’s important that they know you’re there anyway, so they can alert you to any changes in the water and have you as priority for restoring power in case there is an outage.
Is the water system a portable R/O system or DI tanks?
