We have a lot of boxed fluids and want to donate them

My Mom is no longer using her fluids. Can anyone use them?

Unfortunately, dialysis fluids are considered prescribed medications and can’t be used by anyone else in the U.S. The weight of fluids makes it costly to ship them to foreign countries, but you could check with international charities. I’ve heard others say that they’ve offered the fluids to veterinarians, veterinary schools, and/or animal shelters and some of them can use them. Otherwise, people say you can cut the bags and drain the fluids on your garden.

Again as previous answer. Fluid cannot be given away for contamination reasons…Dispose down drain.

Call dialysis center and they can use it for training.

From what I’ve heard, dialysis clinics won’t accept the fluids. However, you can always ask.
