Can someone explain which health issues should be covered by one’s nephrologist vs which ones should be covered by other docs?
This is a question to ask the nephrologist. Some nephrologists need to be the patient’s primary doctor and to know about all issues so he/she can refer the patient to the appropriate specialists. Others focus on kidney and urinary tract issues primarily.
